Richie Richie
Officially known as Richard Mwawasi, but due to his career commonly known as Richie Richie.
Richie was born in the year 1982 in Nairobi where he lived up to the age of nine after which he relocated to the north side of Washington in the United States Of America.(U.S.A) where he as spent most of his time since then.
Being a father of one daughter, Richie is a family guy who strives to make ends meet for his family. Other than music, he is also a fun person and takes part in sporting events such as soccer, American football and basketball.
Career Information
Richie Richie’s musical career began in the USA, where he featured as America’s Livio backup man. He was further nurtured through music tours and launches, doing live performances along the West Coast. Under the recording of Paktros entertainment also as a backup man, Richie took part in the launch “My Life vol1
Later on, Richie met the famous FANK DADDY, who actually became a mentor and trainer. At Fank Daddy Records studio, Richie did free styling as well as familiarizing himself with music. It is also from here that he learnt the skills of event organizing for the very first time as he took part in different events that were organized by the Fank Daddy records.
Richie Richie later came back to Kenya and joined HEAD BANGAZ INTERNATIONAL in Kenya, where he participated in the making of Head Bangaz mix tape. It was at this time that he met the likes of Sharama and the others to form the famous UKOO FLANI, which he is still a member of to date. His first hit song is First Love. He also has been teaming up with other artists in Kenya to make hip-hop music in Kenya; cannibal, Sharama Abbas Kubaff, Kimya, to mention but a few.
Through UKOO Fulani Richie has done several tracks that have captivated listeners across the globe. Among them: the last disciple, hii ndio hip-hop, nice, and nice among others. Also, it has taken his efforts to see the launch of Ukooflanis Kaya’s hip-hop album. took part in the launch of Sharamas vunja winga album launch and has personally done his album “The Original Guru.
Being an event organizer and an artist, Richie Richie has taken part in organizing numerous events in various places across East Africa and internationally, Berlin, Nairobi, Kampala, to mention but a few. It is through these skills that it was possible for him to push the formation of Pau (pamoja amani upendo), a community-based organization in Nairobi, to which he is the chairman to date.
